The Temple is open for public darshan from 06.00am to 09.30am and from 05.30pm to 07.30pm daily. This is one of the few temples where Ganapathy Homam is performed daily in the morning. On the annual Vinayaka Chathurthy day, Ashta Dravya Maha Ganapathy Homam is performed on an elaborate scale with 1024 coconuts, with the function commencing at 05.00 am; besides, other ritual like Rudrabhishekam in the morning and Rudra Kramarchana in the evening, followed by the procession of the deity at night, mark the celebration of that day.
Another important event in the temple is the performance and abhishekam and pooja related to Sangatahara Chathurthi every month. The celebration has acquired such a large proportion that, around 250 to 300 devotees offer sponsorship for the Abhishekam and Pooja which are performed by collecting materials in a befitting scale. Over hundreds of devotees gather to witness the Deeparadhana and to offer worship.
The annual festivities at the temple include Navarathri Festival in the month of September - October, the all famous Kalpathy Car Festival in November, the Kumbhabhishekam Day in May and the Mandala Vaaram for 44 days from mid November to December. Rudrabhishekam, Rudra Kramarchana and special poojas form part of the daily rituals during the festival. It is a matter of great satisfaction that we were able to arrange "Chathur Veda Parayanam" (chanting of all the four Vedas) during the Car Festival celebrations.
